The TV commercials are QuickTime versions, so they shouldn't take all day to open; if you don't have a QuickTime player, you can download it here. If they don't open automatically in your browser window, try right-clicking and then selecting 'Save Target As...'

Peperami
In Autumn 2009, Peperami (a Unilever brand) decided to throw its new advertising brief open to anyone and anyone.
Over 1100 entries were received from around the world. And the overall winner was... me! Click on the logo of Idea Bounty, the organisers of the competition, for an interview I did with them.
Here's the finished commercial. I had no involvement in its production, and it's not quite what I wrote; it seems to have been combined with a script by another winner. But I promised I'd post it here when it was done, so here goes...
Nestle
Oxfam
This ad was submitted to a poster competition run by Oxfam in October 2008 - and was chosen as one of the winning entries. It ran for a day on a number of digital billboard sites around London.
Penguin Books
Kellogg's Special K
Knorr
Mick and I often write topical ads. They don't often get made, as it's hard to rush things into print, but it's great when it comes off. When we came across this quote from Marco Pierre White, the ad was in the papers before the end of the week. It went on to make the monthly shortlist in the ANNA Awards.
First Direct
Here's another ad that was turned around quickly. When First Direct temporarily withdrew their mortgages from new customers in April 2008, they wanted an ad to explain why they had taken this step. We were briefed at 10.30 and the following (including copy) was written by noon:
LG Intellowasher
SMA
This work was created for a pitch. We didn't win, but I'm still proud of what we produced.
Lloydspharmacy
Malta Tourism
Another spec campaign. The ads don't actually say what location they are for, since research showed that most people immediately dismiss Malta as boring. Our idea was to intrigue them enough to visit a website to find out where this fascinating holiday destination could be.
Suite
I think Mick would want me to stress that he wasn't responsible for the rather garish art direction in these ads. But I've included them here as I like the lines.
